Step-by-step procedure to migrate GroupWise mailbox using proxy –

Step - 1:Launch Kernel for GroupWise to Exchange software select an mode to continue with:

  1. Single mailbox/multiple mailboxes using Proxy
  2. Multiple mailboxes using Batch file

Step - 2: Single mailbox/multiple mailboxes using Proxy: This option will help you to convert single GroupWise mailbox.

Select the "Single mailbox/multiple mailboxes using Proxy" radio button, and then click the Next button.

The next window displays three modes to connect to the mailboxes of Novell GroupWise and archive selection option: Default mode, Login Mode and Command Line mode.

Step - 3: If you select the "Use Default " option to connect to the GroupWise mailbox in Default mode. This option is enabled by default in the software. Activate and select the Archive file options to migrate archived emails too. Click Next.

Step – 4: Kernel for Novell GroupWise to Exchange will scan the GroupWise mailbox for the existing items in it. The GroupWise mailbox folders comprising the Mailbox, sent items, Calendar, Work in Progress, Contacts, Documents, Checklist, Archives, Work in Progress, Cabinet, Trash are displayed in a tree like structure.

Step – 5: Select any of the GroupWise mailbox folder to view its content. Emails, calendar, contacts and other items will be displayed in the left pane of the window. Right pane of the window displays the respective items of the folder selected from the left pane.

Step – 6: The bottom pane of the window contains two tabs: Text and HTML. Select any one of the tab to get the preview of the item selected from the right pane of the window.

Step – 7: Click Export button to continue. Software will ask you to select the Save option to save the converted file in PST or migrate to Exchange Server/Office 365 user profile.

Step – 8: Select the save options: "Save in PST" or "Save in Live Exchange/Office 365" radio button to save the converted mailboxes in PST, MS Exchange Server, or Office 365.
