Resolve Issue: Outlook Disconnected from Exchange Server

There is no doubt that Microsoft Outlook is the most prominent application for email communication. But in some cases, you may find an Outlook error named “Outlook disconnected from Exchange Server” even when the system is online and the server is available. Once the synchronization has been completed successfully, check the status if it is now Connected or Disconnected after restarting Outlook.
After the issue has been resolved, remove the corrupted Outlook profile.

Rebuild the Outlook Data File

When all the above solutions fail to resolve the error, rebuilding your Outlook data file (OST) will always be a reliable method. To perform this, you need to follow the below steps:

  1. In the Outlook window, right-click on your email profile.

  4. After that, close Outlook.
  5. After keeping the backup in a safe location, you need to delete the default Outlook data file (OST).
  6. Restart Outlook normally and then wait for a while.
