Please close the Kernel for Exchange Server and reopen it. Select the EDB file and click next. On the Select Recovery Mode step select the option "Use Disk Space" and click finish to run the process. It will solve the issue.

How to activate the demo version, I have the activation details?

Do I need MS Outlook on the system to save the mailboxes?

Yes, Ms Outlook needs to be installed and configured on the system. Any temp profile configured in Outlook will work no need to configure working email account.

How to access Public folders PST file in Exchange Public Directory?

  1. Open Ms Outlook where Exchange Server Mailbox profile is configured.
  2. Add the recovered Public folders PST file in outlook using following steps:
  3. In Outlook, go to File - Open - Open Outlook Data file - Select the PST file and open.
  4. After opening the PST file you will be able to access the public folders. Right click on the folders to Move/Copy or just Drag and Drop into Live Exchange Public directory.

  3. Create a new profile.
  4. If Ms Outlook is already installed and profiles created then uninstall the Kernel for exchange server, reinstall and run the process again.
