  2. Inside the Email tab, click on the Exchange Account type > click Change, click More Settings.
  3. On the Advanced tab, below the Open these Additional Mailboxes, click Add.
  4. Enter the Mailbox name of the user whose mailbox you wish to add to your user profile.
Assign Delegate Access Permissions to Outlook Users

This is how you can assign access permissions to delegates:

  1. Click on the File tab.
  2. Click on the Account Settings > Click Delegate Access and select Add.
  3. Note: In case the Add option is not there, an active connection may not exist between Outlook & Exchange (Outlook Status bar displays the connection status).

  4. Type the name of the Outlook user whom you wish to assign with Delegate Access Permissions.
  5. Note: In your organization’s Exchange Global List – GAL, the delegate’s name should be listed.

  6. Click Add > click OK.
  7. Accept the default permission settings inside the Delegate Permissions dialog box.
  8. Note: You can set custom rules/permissions in this step.

  9. Checkmark Automatically send a message to delegate summarizing these permissions check box.
  10. Note: If you don’t wish for the delegate to get notified, uncheck the checkbox with the above option.

  11. To allow the delegate to see the private items, checkmark the Delegate can see my private items check box.
  12. Click Ok.
