Adobe Acrobat PDF files is short for Portable Document Format. A PDF file is a downloadable document developed by Adobe Systems for document exchange. We come across so many of PDF files every day while accessing our system. We see them and use them every day, in office place, at home pc in form of official work file, presentation, courses, important documents, email attachments, etc.

PDF files are very much popular and useful files as they can hold one-page to hundreds of pages in a single document. These pages looks exactly like the original document stuff preserving the original font size, colors, graphics, text, drawings, photos, business logic, 3D, and all full color graphics. One can share, view and print the PDF file using the free Adobe Reader software disregarding type of operating system used, whether it’s Windows or Macintosh or UNIX or Linux. So, one is able to share pictures, documents, graphs, business work all in PDF file around the world.

PDF file represents two-dimensional documents in an exact original format independent of the application software, hardware, and operating system. Adobe Reader is needed for viewing a file in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free application provided by Adobe Systems. With this free PDF file reader utility, you can share your PDF documents with anyone. The end user is able to view or print the document on any system. Adobe Reader is available for free download for Windows, Mac, UNIX, Linux and Solaris operating systems.
