Repair Corrupt 2GB .PST File

Emails, contacts, calendars, events, alarms, project schedules created with Microsoft Outlook email client are stored on user’s computer in the form of PST files. The PST files created in Microsoft Outlook versions earlier than Outlook 2003 and 2007 have 2GB size limitation, which means the PST file in which emails are stored cannot exceed 2GB.   11. Restart MS Outlook.

Deleting Emails from PST File: You can reduce the PST file size by deleting some of the existing emails from it. To delete emails from PST file, execute the following steps:

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook
  2. Select Work Offline from File menu
  3. Now, select emails in Inbox folder that you want to delete and press the DELETE key
  4. After deleting all selected email, also delete them from Deleted Items folder
  5. Restart Outlook

After restarting Outlook when you click on Send/Receive, you will be able to access your emails. But, if Outlook is having problem in accessing emails then it means the PST file has been damaged due to oversize. Now, the only solution for you is to repair corrupt 2GB .PST file.
