“I used Kernel for Exchange Server for the second time in a live recovery situation today. It was remarkably easy to use. I just restored the Exchange 2013 DB to an alternative location with no recovery options. Opened Kernel, browsed to the DB, Kernel immediately read the file and showed all mailboxes/contents in a tree view. I then highlighted the folder I needed to recover and exported it to a PST ready to import direct back to the users mailbox. Once the restore had finished the whole operation took about 10 minutes with no awkward configuration to do. I thoroughly recommend this product to anyone seeking a quick way of grabbing data from a recovered DB file without the hassle of introducing it back into the live Exchange environment.
