October 23, 2009 Solving Exchange Server Errors

Enabling internal processing logging on the computer where Exchange Server is installed can lead to following error message:

DRAERR_JetError = 22 -1026 =0xFFFFFBFE JET_errRecordTooBig, Record larger than maximum size

The aforementioned error message occurs when there is a replication between Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange Server 2000 in a network. Due to this replication, various MS type proxy addresses are added in the Exchange System Manager. This is because when an object is accessed on the computer where Exchange Server is installed then the Recipient Update Service appends a duplicate MS type proxy address to the object. When the object size becomes too large due to continuous addition of the MS type proxy addresses, replication service gets stopped and the specified error message appears on your computer screen.

In order to resolve the JET_errRecordTooBig error message, you need to download and install the September 2003 Exchange 2000 Server post-service pack 3 Rollup. You can obtain the Rollup from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=363A57A4-8BED-4BBB-BBE4-ABC11AB04611&displaylang=en&displaylang=en

After installing the specified Rollup, you can smoothly work with Exchange Server.

Microsoft Exchange Server database is very sophisticated and uses highly advanced algorithms to store and retrieve data from EDB file. However, Exchange Server is secure and robust, sometimes, you may have problem in retrieving data from EDB file. There can be many internal reasons for that like any page within the EDB database gets corrupted, links between database tables are broken, etc. Due to any of these internal reasons, you may face JET errors informing you about database corruption. In that situation, you need to repair the database file or rebuild the database to restart working with EDB file without losing data.

Kernel for Exchange Server repair and exchange recovery software perfectly deals with JET errors and helps you repair the damaged EDB file. The software supports Exchange Server 5.0, 5.5, 2000, 2003, and 2007 for exchange repair.
